About the Position

The Bay Club is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Tennis Reception Desk Associate who is passionate about creating personable experiences and life-long memories. This position is responsible for booking tennis courts for members and their guests, scheduling lessons with our USPTA Certified Tennis Professionals, working with and selling a minimal amount of tennis retail products, and creating positive professional relationships with Bay Club members. Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating an environment of hospitality and luxury, and consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.


Customer Service

Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Tennis Desk and throughout the club
Check members in to their reserved court and/or lessons
Book and cancel Tennis Court and Tennis Lesson reservations
Provide information regarding private, semi-private, and group tennis lessons, Junior and Adult Tennis Leagues, and special tennis events offered at Courtside
Deliver exceptional service experience to members, guests, and Associates with a goal of retaining guests for repeat business

Tennis Reception Desk Oversight

-Operate cash register
-Process payments
-Manage/handle cash and balance cash drawer each shift.
-Perform opening and/or closing duties, as required
-Answer and transfer phone calls
-Proficient in Word and Excel


Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of tennis office, tennis courts, and all common areas.

Communication and Relationships

Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate
Active participation in required events, required programs, required meetings and required trainings
Develop positive professional relationships with members, guests, and associates



Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays


Minimum Qualification

At least one year experience in the hospitality industry or related service position is preferred.


Physical Requirements

-This position deals with outside personnel such as members and guests on a regular basis with contact in various forms such as in person, phone, and email.   
-It is sometimes necessary to deal with unpleasant or angry people with the need to problem solve difficult -situations.
-Lifting and moving of moderately heavy objects
-Standing is as needed.
